A funding program to support capacity building efforts of small shop environmental organizations. Grants are provided for specific projects that support administration, operations, training, and other capacity priorities.
There are many wage subsidy programs funded through federal and provincial governments. We provide some matching funding to help cover the difference not funded by these wage grants.
We work with other Foundations and organizations to enhance capacity building grantmaking. This includes collaborative investments and also support for grantee selection or recommendations.
As a leader in grassroots impact investing, organization who are looking to raise capital for a special initiative or capital project may benefit from impact investing loans from the Foundation
Sometimes organizations just need a little help with cashflow. This program offers short and medium-term loans to assist organizations who have a cash flow issue. This can be especially helpful when waiting on grant funds to come in.
This service supports organizations, companies, foundations, and individuals who are looking for a safe and convenient way to save money in a savings account or hold assets in a reserve or other fund.
We use the same portal for applications for both capacity funding and impact investing loans. When starting an application, organizations will be asked to specify if they are seeking a grant or a loan.
