At this time, the Sustainable Capacity Foundation is not able to set-up advance meetings with prospective applicants due to the high volume of inquiries. For an idea of what types of funding we have provided, please visit the Grantees section of this website. Note that our funding focuses on capacity needs of small environmental organizations in Canada. Generally speaking, our initial grants to new organizations range from $1,000 to $10,000 to build an initial relationship and connection. The first step is to submit a one-pager letter of interest outlining your specific capacity needs and grant focus. Please make sure to ask for a specific amount in your letter and describe what you will be using the funds for.
As part of our commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, the Sustainable Capacity Foundation is open to receiving non-written applications for funding. This can include oral, video, or artistic applications. For non-written applications, please submit your video or audio file to info@sustainablecapacityfoundation.ca.
Please note that Letters of Intent must be submitted through our online portal. Email applications with a PDF letter attachment are not accepted at this time.
