Community Bonds for sustainability
We are developing several community bonds in partnership with the sustainability sector as a way to extend our impact investing priority. This is also a concrete way for Canadians to get involved in impact investing by contributing to the bonds. We also partner with other Foundations on our bonds.
As a Foundation, we act as the Fund Manager and provide first-loss capital for the Bond. We work in partnership with an environmental organization or networks to develop and implement the bond. We have partnered with Tapestry Capital for bond development.

Our first bond is a partnership with Greening Sacred Spaces to help retrofit religious and multicultural buildings. The Faithfully Green Fund is current open and accepting investments.

The Capacity Building Community Bond is currently under development. This bond will support capacity building loans to organizations like we do now, but allow community members to invest in the bond.
